You can do typing through the compiler at build time, or you can do typing with guard statements at run time. You always end up doing typing tho

I don't agree and I don't disagree, but I thinkcontext matters a lot here. Some teams and codebases need deep knowledge, some don't. Some nned sql performance, some don't. Your conclusion is only true some of the time

We'v known this for twenty years and had the data ta back it up for ten. Github flow is one of the most damaging things to ever happen to software teams

Cool. As mentioned, I have been in a different tech for a while now, and this article is from 2011, so I was interested if people do still use it

Protests can still get concessions from the state. The problem historically has come when the protest leaders get elected.

Yeah, like small scale communism, anarcho or not, is extremely old and has even worked in the industrial age. When it fails, the communities dissolve, but they don't starve

And its not even a case of "state socialism results in state violence" (it does, continously), its that planned economies make it so that small errors in judgement result in massive issues. I'm a little tired of the "mistakes where made" crowd like "oopsie we did a The Great Famine". Contemporary analysis by anarchists and unionists knew already said it wouldn't work.

Naw, its cause it used to start in october but they moved it to september for better weather.

They had something like ten non-month holy days that the consoles were responsible for sticking in the calendar. This traditionally corrected for the drift. In the political turmoil leading up to to ceasar, this didn't get done. When ceasar imposed the new calendar, he had to insert like 40 extra days to the first year in orderto correct this.

Its the shortest month because it was considered the unluckiest month and they literally wanted it to be over sooner.

the roman year started on march 1 so thats how they numbered months. English never caught up.
