How do you un-hide posts? I'm still getting used to the swiping and already accidentally hid a post that I wanted to read.

Twitter isn't allowing posts to be viewed if you're not signed in, which is now resulting in Google removing Twitter links from search results. That alone is doing more harm than any other stupid moves by Musk. Him implementing caps on user activity doesn't need any further elaboration.

Reddit is going to have some dead links that might deter a small percentage of potential new users who find them through a Google search. I think we'll get a better picture of how reddit will move forward after they replace mods and reopen large subreddits.

Thank you, because I was confused.

So it stops running off the desktop and runs on a different computer. I feel like that's a waste of electricity when we have speaker and phone home assistants.

I've been browsing all and in between news and memes it's been opossums. I absolutely love this platform and algorithm. It's like my Instagram account merged with my reddit account. Raccoons and opossums deserve more love🖤

I love behind the scenes videos like this. It makes you realize how much careful work and thought goes into these films, when the product seems so simple. It looks easy to do because they put so much effort into it. The emphasis on making it a movie about the family and not just about superheroes vs supervillans isn't something I ever thought about because they did it so well. Who actually thinks about how puberty would affect a superhero???

Remove the space before the @. Anyone who clicks on the links who isn't from lemmy.world will get a 404, or they will be directed to the wrong community if one exists on their instance.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

That's because OP added a space between the c/ and the @. It's not really helpful for anyone who isn't on .world

Almost every app is tracking these things. Get an app tracker blocker and it really opens your eyes. You don't even have to agree to it, they'll still track you.

Billionaires bought the internet and now they're realizing that it isn't profitable.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

What would they switch to, though?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Could you remove the spaces for people who aren't browsing from .world?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Could that be due to your instance and not the app? Connect has been working well for me with only a few random errors that don't affect much. Yesterday it wasn't loading my lemmy.world account because the instance servers were struggling.
