Könnte mir vorstellen, dass die mit der Serverleistung einfach nicht mehr hinterherkommen. lemmy.world läuft wohl auf ner 32 Kern EPYC box und die Instanz ist wesentlich kleiner als lemmy.ml
Habe hier Simplicissimus noch nicht gesehen.

I switched from kagi to searxng and haven't really looked back yet. The only feature I miss is pinning search results from sites, but other than that... Nothing. It's been a while since I switched though, so maybe they've added some compelling features

So, from what I've heard, the 2 Main Developers of Lemmy and about 90% of the initial userbase were tankies, to the point where the project wasn't appealing to anyone other than them. That's why the Developers opened lemmygrad, where most of the tankies are now. That instance is also one of the most blocked instances on the fediverse
