They sell bulletproof backpacks in the US for children, not uncommonly. Body armor has been recommended for serious protesters for a while. In 2020 numerous average people were shot by right-wing opposition at protests.
The capitalists wanted it, and with influence on media and culture instilled it into us as the ideal. We are fighting to change it.

You are wrong, people are pissed and are willing to show it. Have you never felt serious about something in your life? He didn't initiate the violence, the raids in his community from masked fascist goon squads started the violence. He is defending the people.
NRA obviously isn't going to help us, but your local Socialist Rifle Association would be more amenable to resisting tyranny. If there is no chapter in your area get some like minded friends together and start one.

Well when we fought the original Nazis it wasn't limited to the officers and leadership.
While definitely not the same level of violence of that, during the protests in 2020, I never saw the police riot and assault the group when there were armed civilian guards. Even five or so out 100+ people was enough to give the cops pause.
From what I've seen as well most fires aside from the Waymos were started by the flashbangs and smoke grenades the police were using.
