Yeah the remake in Unity is done.

One of the writers from the original game found out about the remake and wrote a bunch of free quests for it.

The modding community is active and the game is a big fun sandbox to play in.

I think the team is now moving on to a Morrowind Unity port but I'm not completely sure about that.

Personally I enjoy the federation but I'm not the one who got bs in their inbox. You made a lot of good points about the site filling a safe space niche and I can empathize with that.

Is there currently no way to let users block instances like mastodon does?

Sorry comrade meow-hug

The man has a problem with women, especially his ex wife.

Bloodlines is an incredibly hard game to get right. Everyone on the team is passionate, but the priorities are split. Younger writers trying to collaborate with Gen X gamer veterans.

I know someone who worked on this before the project was overhauled for the umpteenth time. They told me that one of the leads from the og game was fired for his bizarre fixation about his ex wife, and slipping 2000's Era jokes and boomer anti-ex wife jokes into his script.

Also, the game just wasn't fun.

The unity port is a delight imo and totally free.

The spiritual successor is called Wayward Realms and I think it's in the "pitching to investors" phase at the moment.

Starfield?

What's that?

The only Bethesda game I care about is Daggerfall 1996 for Windows 95

As a trans person (ftm) first, the reason that this statement from Biden is so problematic isn't just about the sports thing.

The issue is that the administration is legitimizing a Trojan horse of bigotry. "Trans people shouldn't be in sports" is a wedge issue being used to push trans people out of public life. We're already going from sports, to chess, to trans children having their healthcare taken away.

If the admin was on our side they would have decried these bigots, but by releasing this mealy mouth "Well its complicated..." statement they've given legitimacy to anti-trans rhetoric.

As an aside, no, trans people who have been on hrt over a year do not have advantage in sports:

This is a really tough situation comrade, I'm sorry.

I don't know enough about the situation to give specific advice. It depends on what he's doing. If he's doing blatantly illegal shit, how illegal are we talking? Is it just property damage, or is he a danger to himself and other people?

First, someone needs to contact his mental health provider. If the meds are causing the issue, he needs to have them reduced or stopped entirely. He likely will need something to sedate him until doctors can figure out what the hell went wrong. If he has access to alcohol, he needs that access removed.

I'd recommend him being taken in for a three day hold, but it sounds like he already did that and tbh the mental health care system is so bad in this country (assuming that you are in the US) that it will likely have him feeling more fucked up. Whatever happens, he needs a time out, because his brain is running on adrenaline.

Speaking as someone who has had a few mental breakdowns in their day, I would have appreciated being dragged out into the woods for a camping trip for the week with some friends/family. The go-go-go or die nature of our current society is really fucking bad for people who are experiencing a crisis, and the sooner he can slow down the better.

Also, remember, don't light yourself on fire to keep him warm. Sometimes there is only so much you can do as a friend. If he's attacking you, or hurting other people, he needs to be hospitalized before he gets arrested- a far worse outcome for all involved.

Remember those commemorative coin commercials where you could buy coins supposedly made from the steel of the collapsed building? Yeaahhh that was way worse than these tattoos.
