Down the chats of the official Fanlore discord server lately (of which I have been in for the past few months), they've been discussing this kind of transgression alongside the HP fanfic debacle (specifically, the Manacled one, of which upon its reworked professional release by its fanfic author gained enough controversy within and outside the fandom that it warranted for a wiki article on its own).

Also, one editor has suggested using "illegal fic binding" in place of the term "illegal "fanbinding" as the latter connotes the non-profit work with a for-profit tone in a negative way. Another has noted that het (in other words, F/M) fanfics sell much more than other pairing-centered ones, and attract more outsiders willing to buy that much for an illegal fic-binded copy, in disrespect to those original authors; throw the franchise copyright shenanigans in, and there we have the entire panfandom world at a crossroads battlefield against those recklessly profiteering for the sake of it.

Also, as a side note, there's also this recently-created wiki article section about said fannish controversy:

Not only that, but through his past connections as a demoscene musician back in the early 1990s (for example, the dark cyberpunk/sci-fi aspect of the soundtrack for "Hardwired", an Amiga OCS creative demo by Silents and Crionics), he has shown his homegrown compositional prowess, even to other musical genres unrelated to that.

Most, if not all, of my experienced dreams so far, have been in 1st person, as if I'm the one living through whatever realism-fantasy-scifi shenanigans I'm in; thing is, most of the time, they're almost exclusively set within my home province, including the central capital city, highways and all.
Consuming and creating various creative media also has its own part in aligning perspectives in those dreams, as well as how the supposed "plot"/"storyline" plays out in its entirety.

Reading all of this in depth while silently sipping across my leaf-green cup of hot 3-in-1 coffee in the morning, I'm now seeing almost the whole picture with the new TenForward online hub-raft and the reasons for its founding. ValSub, as evidenced by the screenshots and credible anecdotes by others experiencing the ire at the supposed mod overreach on that particular instance, has come off to me as bespoke of a too passionate fan enthusiast, much like that of Dream SMP of a few years prior, while exhibiting multiple instances of verified victim complex. Even though the original intent of said instance is to have a fair ground for all to discuss and meme their watched Star Trek content, including fanworks (Happy International Fanworks Day, after all!) of every type.

In the end, as a fellow recent Fediversian myself, I take sympathy towards not only you, Stamets, but also to the countless others who have been fed up with the sudden debauchery of such a rogue, highly-agitated mod person for weeks on end.
May the Federation prosper, even through understandable disagreements and hardships, as well as triumphs and camaderie, both large and small.

Hey, I know that from OMORI—specifically, the Weeping Willow joke quest.

It's okay by me; no one's actually got their guts and feels hurt by that much. All is fair game.

If you're the type who wants to unwind from the hyper-realistic art style of most mainstream games nowadays, while also exploring modern Filipino life and culture through the eyes of a young adult student, the Until Then demo might be up your alley. Aside from the pixelated art style coming from the devs themselves, who are also wholly Filipino themselves, there's quite a substantial attention to detail when it comes to the greater Metro Manila and the suburban locations around, including our local circuses. Oh, and there's also quite a bit of mysteriousness and some philospophy to it, as vaguely evidenced by its Playstation 5 trailer.

Recently tried out vivid/statis on PC (via my older sister's (now my younger bro's) laptop) since last week, even though I'm not that much of a rhythm game enthusiasts, speaking as a young adult keen on exploration and slow-paced music in video games.

For what it's worth, it just feels and plays quite good, with only four keys to smash and hold note bars to (much like Stepmania and other related RGs, but with the addition of bumper bars), as well as a couple of modes and storyline beats to try and dive deep into, including the tough-as-nails, one-miss-and-you-fail Ultimate mode. And its palette of featured songs are a worthwhile mention, ranging from the slow-paced to the absolute hardcore banger type. And this week, I just scored my first FC on Luminaria (Opening 1), and witnessed the game's first edition of their tournament DUALIZED ASCENSIA unfold, from start to finish. Reeked of adrenaline-fueled fun and competition.

That being said, playing through my way on this game deffo improved on my physical reflexes and typing speed quite a bit, even though I get grades lower than A on certain harder charts. I guess we will see if I can achieve my first V grade and complete Class 1 in Course Mode after a couple more rounds of practice and studying Youtube plays of some of those aforementioned charts.

Here, too. My feed's all about architecture, random ramblings, things of nature, music, and of course, Fediverse stuff.

I feel it pleasant to just curate that raftbox of mine to whatever interests I actively do have at the moment, without the vitriolic banter and doomscrolling most other social media platforms have harbored as of late.

As @Drusas also noted below, just discovering and enjoying new things, while also finding stories of humane positivity, everything nature and greenery, and listening to trackertunes that are well-crafted and have a strong storyline involved.

As stated in the post title, this online raft's not only for players, but also enthusiasts, both casual and dedicated, of the non-profit, four-key rhythm/mystery visual novel game that's bound to test your hand and sight reflexes with well-made song charts and course journeys, vivid/statis, itself made by Hajimeli and Team Vividstatis.

Here's to a new mag/community hub for one of my recent favorite games for this year alone. vivid/statis. Yes, it's also a quirky yuri game, per one of the comments of SiIvagunner's sole rip vid a few months back. Feel free to either post your plays, help build this place up, or even both!

I should mention that this is a vertical 4-key rhythm game, somewhat markedly different from well-known favorites such as DanceDanceRevolution and Friday Night Funkin', to name a few, but of which also has an accompanying visual novel (yep, the yuri kind) element to it; from what I have played it so far, it feels and looks impressive enough for such a non-profit rhythm game like this, down to the choice of tracks and charts, as well as an in-game league of sorts.

Even though I might not play this fangame any time soon, it seems it's quite a long-awaited prequel experience more than 7 years in the making, for almost everyone else, plus with this determinant cowboy kid called Clover as this continuity's protagonist.
How are the rest of you viewing and playing it as it stands right now?

The central office and 12 regional offices of the Department of Education (DepEd) have not remitted a total of P5.55 billion in taxes, insurance contributions, and loan payments deducted from teachers and non-teaching personnel as of end-2022.

Specifically, the education department failed to remit to the following government agencies and corporations:

  • P4.47 billion – Government Service Insurance System (GSIS)
  • P307.034 million – Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)
  • P193.768 million – Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF or Pag-IBIG)
  • P572.6 million – Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)

State auditors said, “The failure by the DepEd Offices to remit the premium contributions deprived their employees of the opportunity to avail [themselves] of loan privileges, earn yearly dividends, and such other benefits…thereby causing undue injury on them.”

Vice President Sara Duterte is letting go of her request for a combined P650 million in confidential funds for the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education, saying she must move on from such a “divisive” issue.

She gave this statement to the Senate yesterday amid reports that senators had decided to realign the confidential funds of the OVP and DepEd, which she concurrently heads, along with those of other civilian agencies without security functions.

In a since-viral video shared on social media circles last November 8, a Palawan State University (PSU) student from the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT) can be seen incoherently screaming and behaving in an erratic way, including nearly hurling a chair, at a certain classroom in the new Architecture building.

The video also showed someone who appears to be a teacher instructing her classmates to assist the distressed student. She also offered a prayer for the young woman. In response, the classmates approached the weeping student.

She was seen too being embraced by her classmates while she continued to cry, shout, and at times, even burst into loud laughter. One individual approached her also, praying and asking for God’s help, as she continued to scream.

While speculations related to supernatural possession abound amongst professors and students, others point to a lack of a formal blessing to the aforementioned building, insufficient rest and nourishment, and the heavy workload those in the BS Architecture program are currently shouldering as probable causes.
