Wikipedia

Tankie is a pejorative label generally applied to authoritarian communists, especially those who support acts of repression by such regimes, their allies, or deny the occurrence of the events thereof. More specifically, the term has been applied to those who express support for one-party Marxist–Leninist socialist republics, whether contemporary or historical. It is commonly used by anti-authoritarian leftists, including anarchists, libertarian socialists, left communists, democratic socialists and reformists to criticise Leninism, although the term has seen increasing use by liberal and right‐wing factions as well.

The only time I've seen it be applied to anarchists is when Reddit libs don't like anyone left of them doing stuff like protesting, but normally the Wikipedia definition is how I see the word used.

uh no they're not? Anarchists are about as anti-government as it gets

Edit: unless you mean liberals can't tell the difference between different leftists

I've seen a lot of anarchists on Hexbear, lemmygrad is explicitly ML though

Privacy Guides still recommends fucking Brave browser? Brave analyzes your data on your device for ads, which is better than sending it off to Google, but actual privacy browsers don't analyze your data at all, and their CEO is a piece of shit.

What about open source jobs and funding? Since it seems like most of them come from either FAANG or government unless my research is wrong.

I love self-hosted Bitwarden, whenever my server goes down or there's a power outage and I'm out of town, my extensions and sometimes apps stop working and now I can't access my passwords. Currently experiencing this right now, I might switch to KeepassXC after this

Not anything super interesting at mine, basically everyone there was a Christian nationalist Fox News Republican and I got sick of being exclusively around people who were constantly promoting stuff that would criminalize and erase people like myself and didn't give a shit about anyone outside of their immediate community. For LGB it was a "love the sinner hate the sin" mindset though so it could have been a lot worse (although it's still considered basically the worst sin you can possibly commit aside from murder and worthy of the death penalty). For T though the environment was more hostile, I heard there was one person who came out as trans and was quickly expelled. Aside from that they taught stupid shit like dinosaurs still exist and the government is hiding them from us and dragons exist as well. Glad to be out of that shithole.

Unless you go to a Christian high school, then it sucks

As someone who is extremely hands on and learns basically nothing from lectures, this actually sounds like a decent idea if it is executed well, especially the Khan Academy integration. I'd rather just sit down and read a textbook and do practice problems and be graded on them than be stuck in a lecture for 7 hours only to have to relearn everything anyways because I lose track of what's being said in like 5 seconds of the lecture starting.

That's even worse
