I would seriously consider something like this since my computing job requires me to stare at a light bulb all day. Perhaps there's a demographic that would spring for this in the same way there is for quality chairs.

I'm having to do that now. Three years prior renting needs to be accounted for. I left on very bad terms with my previous landlord but I had to give the information over because it showed up on my history check and they refused to let my application be complete without it. So we'll see wtf is gonna happen...

TIL about the Great Filter. Thanks for the rabbit hole!

I don't like cars but I still drive because it still brings me more in life than if I didn't!

Oh yay! Happy times. The fdroid version doesn't have that yet but I look forward to the update.

It is way way lighter weight and is overall a better experience. I use osmand for routing because the voice is much better tuned (OM just says barely-useful things like "turn left" instead of "turn left at Broadway". I think both have their uses. If the voice was better I would use OM exclusively.

"Less traumatic than violent, ad-hoc suicide" perhaps?

Oof, and the others are barely motivational at best.

I've been slowly trying thumbkey but seem to be struggling to get to the point where I feel comfortable using it over qwerty. I love the concept as I also hate using qwerty.... Yet I still seem more accurate using the crutch of autocorrect. With thumbkey I have to go back and correct more than I thought I would. I can kinda touch-type at a decent rate now but I definitely need more practice.

All of this is to ask: is there a point where I will be so comfortable as to not need to fear misspelling something without this crutch of autocorrect?

I felt the same about BotW. At first I enjoyed the freshness and exploration but it quickly gave way to the sinking realization that it's an empty world with smatterings of lifeless villages and MMO-style quests. Ew.
