That is a lot of social!

Sounds like a worthy salad. Toasted nuts are my favourite salad improver.

Wouldn't say it's felt hotly contested, almost the opposite. Like labor hasn't bothered to campaign hard or present much of a plan

Same feeling for the other parties though so maybe I'm just not paying attention

Managed a quarry climb with some friends on the Monday public holiday

Saw a cute owl

What'd you all get up to on the long weekend?

I find it depends on the show.

There's some that use a set formula and you can tell if it's your cup of tea pretty early.

For example:

X's a cop but y's...

The Devil

Immortal

A robot

A zombie

A serial killer

A cannibal

But some other shows might take longer to get into and figure out if they're for you due to complexity or number of characters.

I think Sense8 or The Expanse would be a good example of that

Generally yes, but occasionally there's other minors worth preferencing above the majors.

In this case it was just deciding how to preference the batshitters.

That's better than most of what I've come across. Lower house is easy enough for my seat but I'd prefer to vote for minor parties or independents who align with my views before the majors in the upper house.

So hard to find policy on that stuff.

I see there's a stop pedophiles protect kiddies grouping which nobody would be against but no party link, single issue and that's probably just a misleading name to hate on the LGBT+ community.

Wish more election funding went to providing voters with useful info instead of spamming the electorate with mugshot posters

Most of our citizens... Probably.

Spineless Government... Probably not.

My bad! Will do better in future 😄

Can't promise I'd contribute but might spice the place up a bit.

Also, unrelated but I guess the type of thing I'd add to a weekly thread: Fyi marumo bookings happening Monday the 3rd. If you like getting your hopes up, fancy Japanese food and missing out set a reminder.

(Slightly salty because I've never made it through the queue before it's full)

It's sad, to see.

Feels like Albo lost all political courage and has been too scared to promote a positive vision for the country.

Unwilling to do more than hold onto the working family dad persona.

Could increase aid and resources for Ukraine, actually take a strong attitude to Trump tariff bs by putting tariffs on Tesla, pulling back from AUKUS or strong-arm via pine gap.

But why do anything that could improve the spineless image.

Last time Labor fucked up governing this hard we lost fttp NBN.

Pro strat: Vote early, then just go get a cake on the day anyway.

Sadly you do have to run the gauntlet of people harassing you with how to vote shite though so may not be worth

Wonder how the libs will try to scare campaign this time since it doesn't feel like labor have done much with their "total control".

Other than building train lines and the upper house changes I guess
