Blame the french for the pronunciation. Also the Ozarks is just the anglo spelling of the french Aux Arcs

I can't believe how quickly the lathe works. Now I just need to focus all my energy on the name Hogg Crankley until it is released
Somehow not gross enough
Disgusting and alliterative, perfect!
Ok, so it's like a wet willy. But for your belly button.
What should this monstrous act be called?
Cambodian and Taiwanese valleys.
Just woke up and checking the news for the first time. For a second I was very concerned that this had spiralled way more than I had realized
Also from canvassing I can tell you people with ring cams in my city are rich psychopaths
As a delivery person, can confirm. The amount of them that will order something and then act super suspicious when someone shows up with the things that they specifically requested someone bring to them is almost hilarious
punctuating it with contempt
It's not the same phenomenon of an accent describing itself, but all my family in Iowa say Missour-ah in the same type of contemptuous way as that lol
Ooh another good one. Actually speaking of Georgia, both Georgia and Savannah are kinda fun
Remembering this from school years ago: The french were the first to colonize lots of the Mississippi River valley, from Illinois to New Orleans. Lots of places were named by them and then mispronounced by anglos who moved in later. Louisiana mostly retained enough french speakers to avoid it, but farther up river the pronunciations and then eventually the spellings changed over time
