I am a native English speaker and knew all of that and STILL had to have the Ozarks = Aux Arcs part pointed out to me very recently. I'm just glad I can pass it along to someone else now!

Use a backpack sprayer with kerosene, gets the distance you require and kerosene is only flammable instead of explosive like gasoline. Bonus points if you want to use some kind of surfactant to increase the stickiness, though that will probably wreck the entire set up after a few uses
I've said it before but just because it keeps being relevant:
I watched a documentary as a kid about the experience of civilians in Europe during WW2, featuring a lot of interviews. Just about the only part of it I remember is a German lady describing how the Nazi government would report on every battle as a victory, but it was only as each successive victory got closer and closer to Berlin that people began to reject the narrative as presented to them.
I sometimes wonder if western libs are capable of this type of realization at this point, and also if so what massively unignorable situation would cause it.
Beloved by whom?!

Today as I was pulling onto the highway I noticed a small ladybug on the side mirror. It was doing a great job just hanging in there for a while, probably a few minutes. I kept looking over at it when I could safely get the chance. Eventually I looked over and it was gone. I know they can fly, but there was a lot of traffic and I don't expect anything good happened to it.
I felt bad, and really empathize with the little guy. Trying your best to do the only thing you know, getting swept along by some unknown and unstoppable force into certain danger at high speed
Ok, we get it, you take amazing selfies. Way to flex, geez
General Anxiety?

Remembering this from school years ago: The french were the first to colonize lots of the Mississippi River valley, from Illinois to New Orleans. Lots of places were named by them and then mispronounced by anglos who moved in later. Louisiana mostly retained enough french speakers to avoid it, but farther up river the pronunciations and then eventually the spellings changed over time
It's only a supervillain accessory when your target isn't just doing a controlled burn during forest management or wildfire control. This set up plus a drip torch isn't super uncommon, other than the surfactant. Plus I'm pretty sure anyone could outrun someone wearing it, but I also would have said that about chasing someone with a can of gas
