This would be a fun combo for them to try. ๐ Crochet is so amazingly versatile.
It is just a slip stitch for attaching the beads. For the pattern I used jbead to figure out the color repeat. You can apparently do single crochet too but I have not tried that. This might be used for larger objects? Saw some amazing bead crochet coin purses last night that might use that. The rope is easy once you get started.
I've been playing around with bead crochet ropes and having fun, and now I don't want to work this morning. Definite danger of creative hobbies....

Not sure if this counts, it is not really a recipe, but I put buttermilk on my cooked oatmeal. I use the thick rolled kind, microwaved 1 to 1 oats and water, 50% for 5 minutes (so it just sort of expands but does not get creamy) then top with buttermilk and maybe dried cranberries. Might be even better to toast the oats first! Just occurred to me. Mmmmmmm.
