we're using the movement to try to recruit for DSA. These big mainstream movements are always a psyop, but there's opportunity to spread the word and get people asking the hard questions.

I posted this to my DSA chapter:
I’ve read some of Lenin, but I haven’t gotten far into What Is To Be Done. This podcast by RevLeft Radio does a nice overview of the text. It seems very applicable right now.
The gist is that without a Vanguard party, these spontaneous movements (Hands Off, 50501) will eventually and inevitably sputter out and die, or be co-opted by the bourgeoisie. This has happened many times throughout history (Occupy, etc). Furthermore, without an organized Vanguard party to lead these movements, the movement will just default to capitalist status quo.

EDIT: to answer slightly more seriously, crypto is just a tool. The great thing about crypto is that anybody can use it. The bad thing about crypto is that anybody can use it. Yes, there's lots of dogshit out there (by lots I mean like 95% or more). But the big projects, BTC, ETH, defi stuff like AAVE, Compound, etc are very useful tools. I don't think people realize how exploitative the banking and finance industry really are, and crypto bypasses most of that.
I remember seeing Iron Maiden open for Ozzy back in like 2002. They blew Ozzy off the stage with their set so Sharon literally unplugged them. She is so petty.
The entire premise of this post is that people are supposedly bricking their systems, and atomic distros fix this.
My argument is that nobody is bricking their system. I will repeat it, because that's the assumption made by op to argue in favor of atomic distros.

I'm curious what you're doing to your system that bricks it so often that would be considered a risk for a normal every-day normie user?
