I have learned that SO MANY coffee drinkers don't understand that certain teas have to be brewed at certain temperatures. They take green, black, white, jasmine and brew all of them into boiling water!

Anyways, I do not get this coffee vs tea feud. I drink it all, sometimes even in the same day, and I thank my ancestors for discovering leaf in hot water and bean in hot water both taste good.

No one is saying neoliberalism is as far right as fascism. However fascism has a cloak of populism that it can hide under that neoliberalism can never do because they are tied to corporate interests in varying degrees. As such, a lot of working class people gravitate towards fascists who pay lip service to working class struggles.

At the end of the day, both neoliberals and fascists benefit from an undereducated and overworked population. That is why we need true alternatives that support the working class

I genuinely don't know what to do while reading news about Palestine. Donations don't help if the food isn't getting through the blockade, the biggest powers of the Western world seem to be in support of or turning a blind eye, and I as a citizen halfway across the world feel absolutely helpless as I watch children willfully being bombed and starved to death.

I got mine done by a clinical psychology master's student supervised by their professor. It was half the price (and my insurance ended up covering 40%), no GP referral required. If anyone reading this has a college or university near them, check if they have that option. Added bonus is that the students are usually more up to date on current diagnostic criteria compared to someone who has been practicing in the field for a while.

I also get my dental check ups done at the university dental school for the same reason.

Ewww people actually use Threads? Last time I saw it, it was like LinkedIn 2.0 filled with sigma grindset "chase that bag" crap.

I wish I could tell you, but I failed all my fascism math courses.

While this is true, I don't think advocating of "punching fascists" is on a policy level, but rather an individual one.

Why would ask a trans individual to respect the "human rights" of someone that doesn't even see them as human?

Cannot believe I'm living in an era where Alberta is more separatist than Quebec.

No one who has any political awareness would give the liberals credit for that. That was the NDP’s contribution.

A lot of voters aren't aware. If it's not being blasted on repeat by a news channel, then at least 50% of the electorate has no idea what's happening. We're also so inundated with American politics that Canadian news gets drowned out as well.

Yeah, I was 95% sure it was an NDP mandate, but I also have an awful memory so I was open to being corrected.

We may not have Fox News, but we have lots of right news media (Post Media, The Globe and Mail, Stephen Crowder). The Conservatives have also been running ads for over a year attacking Trudeau, something that is blatantly against Canadian election laws, but clearly they found some sort of loophole, and these are more than likely being funded by conservative groups from down south or overseas.

For any Canadians that don't know, this is what Harper (our former conservative PM) is up to now.

I read this update posted last night on the r/iPhone discord, and have not seen this posted anywhere yet. Please feel free to direct this to the proper community if this is out of place.

I highlighted the relevant sentence, but it seems that the moderators are discussing how to proceed after the initial Reddit blackout behind the scenes, and having the communities being unmoderated is one of the potential options.

How do people feel about going back to an unmoderated Reddit?
