Saving others a click:

  • Trump Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). It will likely work on three major U.S. carriers, leveraging the 5G networks and coverage of AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.

  • In a post to X by analyst Max Weinbach, it seems that the T1 closely resembles the T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G. The specifications of the display and the odd camera resolutions match up with the T-Mobile device, along with other details.

  • That smartphone is made by Wingtech, owned by the Chinese-owned manufacturer Luxshare. The T-Mobile version is believed to be built in Kiaxing, Wuxi, or Kunming, in China.

I maaaaay be subscribed :) Although in 1991 (this is my ticket stub from the show) Front 242 was just considered Industrial, Goth was not interconnected back then really (not like it is now). We used to refer to our genre as "angry Belgians beating on washing machines" :)

Side comment: .pub is run by a 100% American company[1][2] - if you're looking to truly stay in EU, I'd be looking for an instance using .eu (etc.).

Tangent: there's a "hidden" sub-URL on Lemmy instances where you can examine who they both link to and block (defederate), add /instances after any site; e.g. https://lemm.ee/instances

I've seen a number of folks mentioning or suggesting lemmy.zip (the whole .zip TLD gives me the willies, just feels wrong in my old bones) - I know nothing about them, but can examine their federation and it seems to be very open like lemm.ee is: https://lemmy.zip/instances (their sidebar seems to say they want gamers and techs but idk)

Piefed is an entirely different software ("mbin", a continuation of "kbin") - speaks ActivityPub but is not a Lemmy API. Reading other comments in other posts, there's one (and only one) app being mentioned as having beta support for Mbin (code, API) servers.

Edit: 2025-06-12 1300 UTC, the https://piefed.social/ is broken and returning error 500 (as in, it's 100% broken for users)
