This is the first time I've ever seen someone mention the Onion and journalism in the same sentence instead of a satire site. I'm not saying it's less legitimate than the traditional outlets, just thought they were always proudly mocking news outlets, not competing with them.
I understand your point but if you end up on their forum through searches, it's pretty clear that the majority of participants are the loud ones, making it irrelevant how many quiet ones aren't participating. You're just reading a topic between someone needing help and a group of people trolling them because they can.
Their wiki is amazing but if I had to be a part of the Arch community to use the distro, I would give it a hard pass. They're toxic AF.
If I had a spare 100k lying around, I'd drive the wheels off of it.
Better known as playing hoops.
Sadly, nothing. No tineye results, no context provided in OP.
Echo chambers are echo chambers, no matter the platform. As the voices grow, it gets louder. Just because it's an alternative to the mainstream, I wouldn't consider the members here smarter, more enlightened or savvier as a whole. Lemmy just got louder, that's all.
I can't find any results when reverse searching so I guess it very well might be.
I'm enraged.
Neither impacts me in any appreciable manner so I don't think much about it.
Made it to wordle then couldn't be assed.
They report on that because that's what their readers care about. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
