Gnome is bloated. It needs seconds just to oprn start menu/app switcher/or something like that on my low end laptop.. :/
It also uses more ram at iddle.

Nah, Gnome is already bad on my battered 2017 i3 lenovo laptop.. I am on arch btw.. XD ... so the bloat should be minimal.
Not all people has the resource to buy state of the art laptop..

I only know that on Lemmyverse, most of conservatives happily stays on reddit given most committed progressives migrated here. Or may be they go to squabblr, its owner says they are welcomed there.
There are many though, on mastodon-verse if you like twitter-esque experience. There are enough users and instances to hold meaningful conversations.

Mostly. There are one or two niche subs that doesn't exist here, so I keep using reddit for that. Overall I'm happy with fediverse, both on twitter-like and reddit-like platforms.

  • dubious/niche AUR packages
  • Wrong settings on BIOS/UEFI
  • Windows Update on dual-boot setup (sometimes)

I don't know why, but my archlinux bootloader always disappear if I connet bootable disk when my computer is booting, lol...
