I sometimes like to pride myself on my ability to take a different viewpoint, but today it's absolutely failing me, lol. I really thought this was a movie everyone could at least enjoy.

Yeah, Ardour with some MIDI transport controls for me so I can change playback speed, toggle metronome, and seek with one of these.

I understand that must appear like I'm shooting at gnats with nukes, but you set everything up once and then just drag the file into your project.

I like Ardour.

None actually, it's good enough on the browser I think. Which is definitely not something I can say about Reddit these days. (I still use it through a browser, and without an account, but it's a major PITA.)

Diesel-Async 0.5.0 released, with SQLite support (github.com)

  • Added type diesel_async::pooled_connection::mobc::PooledConnection
  • MySQL/MariaDB now use CLIENT_FOUND_ROWS capability to allow consistent behaviour with PostgreSQL regarding return value of UPDATe commands.
  • The minimal supported rust version is now 1.78.0
  • Add a SyncConnectionWrapper type that turns a sync connection into an async one. This enables SQLite support for diesel-async
  • Add support for diesel::connection::Instrumentation to support logging and other instrumentation for any of the provided connection impls.
  • Bump minimal supported mysql_async version to 0.34
