Exactly this. I know a guy who is a Christian but also believes in extraterrastial life saying that ayy lmaos are also Gods children. Every time he talks about it my head starts to spin.

Decentralized nature of Lemmy is also going to be confusing for the average Joe. When they to go to web site of Lemmy and see a list of instances to choose from, with communities spread all over them they are just going to nope out.

They dropped xul extensions to have extension compatibility with chrome a few years ago.

I still miss XUL extensions because they could properly modify UI of the browser instead of just being pieces of JavaScript run inside tabs.
