Indeed. Hence the grimace!

I blame CSI and Law and Order. I think they oversaturated us with "of the week" procedurals drama so collectively we all jumped ship to these shorter, high concept shows.

The heat and the kids. Looking forward to the summer holidays! 😬

I'd suggest Löve, which uses Lua. It's a powerful language but equally easy to learn. You could also try Pico8, which is also a version of Lua. It's presented as if it's an old 8-bir microcomputer with a built in sprite and tile editor. I find Pico8 much more approachable for beginners. Python is another good starting point for low end hardware.

I remember when I was a kid we moved from Newcastle to Scotland and I swear it took my Mum years to get used to saying rolls instead of buns. I wonder how many iced buns she had to go through before getting it right.

I was listening to "Sonic the Comic the Podcast" recently and they were reminiscing about Woolies and I was trying to remember what they sold. But all I could think of was ZX Spectrum tapes and pick & mix. I guess... drills...?

I'm on the east coast of Scotland, and it must have rained last night, because it's muggy af outside. I think all the moisture is just evaporating. Walking outside is like going into our bathroom after my eldest has had one of his marathon showers.
