I might be biased, as a modder, but I actually quite like bethesda's engine. I just really feel that their games lack direction and planning

you're right, but these forums also crowdsource information which can be sorely needed, such as debugging help and problem resolution. unless we provide an alternate hub for this, we aren't likely to see the dominance of these common forums cease.

the city performance in fo4 is shit lol. seems like bethesda has stepped back away from using precombines, though, so i guess that kind of optimization won't be a concern anymore.

splitting the party is one of the best innovations in turn based rpgs, in my first playthrough of D:OS2 I cheesed the bosses by having a bunch of party members disengage, heal, and then use all their best attacks on them without cooldown.
