I knew that, but thanks. FF's advertisement hit me out of left field and offered things I already have. I've got Proton's new PW manager, which offers email aliases, but I'm used to doing it the old way.
Can't post videos to Lemmy. I tried converting to gif and posting, but that wouldn't work, either.
- There is no genocide involved in the Russo-Ukraine war.
- I am utterly unsympathetic to NATO/USA dictating to the rest of the world, messing things up, then moving in corporate-run reconstruction to enrich their ruling class. NATO/USA have been involved in Ukraine since the end of WW2, stirring up ethnic hatred and enabling corruption. The fighting is a US war against Russia and China, in Ukraine, that the US is willing to carry on until the last Ukranian. Our allies tanked a settlement Russia and Ukraine agreed to in March of last year. All subsequent negotiations were done in bad faith, so as to buy time to arm Ukraine. This we know from Angela Merkel's recent admission.
- You call it whataboutism. I say people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Subtle but important difference.
Thanks. Magnolia does the paywall thing for me. :)
And it was IA's increased activity during the pandemic that spurred the current trouble. Brewster Kahle is a saint.
OPCW has been less than honest in its reports. Aaron J Mate, in particular, has covered this well. https://mate.substack.com/p/aaron-mate-at-un-syria-probe-was UN inspectors went to Syria. They didn't find chemical weapons. Then they changed their story. I remember following this in real time. I wish supra-national organizations weren't beholden to US foreign policy.
We wanted to invade Syria, so we did. We've been taking their oil ever since. That's wealth Syria could have spent on its citizens' welfare. Would that wealth likely have enriched Assad if he had access to it? Probably, judging by history, but that's not all it could have done.

- No crime(s) committed here. Just citizens/corporations of sovereign nations which are not the USA dealing with each other on their own terms.
- USA is not global trade police.

Thanks, everyone, for the info and education. I've just discovered and added Privacy Badger to FF. Tracking makes me feel slimed.
I just looked up user agent. If I understand correctly, that changes every time I change browsers. Does it also change every time I clear the cache?
