Also um richtig heiße Tage erträglich zu machen stelle ich mir das schon ziemlich nice vor und das würde mir auch schon ausreichen. Ich habe nsfw synonym mit 18+/Pornographie verwendet. Es kann natürlich auch Inhalte geben, die zwar nsfw aber nicht 18+ sind. Soweit ich weiß werden hier auf jeden Fall aktuell nsfw gekenzeichnete Inhalte von fremden Instanzen noch nicht automatisch blockiert und bei den blockierten Instanzen handelt es sich hauptsächlich um solche, die auf Pornographie spezialisiert sind. Deswegen, bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass es den Moderator von feddit eher um solche Inhalte geht. Aber wenn tatsächlich jeder nsfw getagte Post hier automatisch blockiert werden würde wäre das natürlich blöd.

Du hast Recht, dass das ganze für Neulinge erstmal nicht so leicht zu durchschauen ist. Aktuell kommt ja noch die Deföderation zwischen Beehaw und lemmy.world/sh.itjustworks hinzu. Ich denke, aber wenn sich das wieder auflöst, dass es dann wieder übersichtlicher ist. Dann hat man im Prinzip nur noch zwei Kategorien. Eine für Instanzen, die nsfw zulassen und eine für Instanzen die kein nsfw zulassen. Ich denke, dass ist eine Einteilung, die einfach nachzuvollziehen und auch sinnvoll ist. Viele hatten ja auch auf Reddit schon einen zweitaccount für nsfw. (Radikale Instanzen oder solche die illegale Inhalte zulassen lasse ich mal außen vor, weil ich denke, dass es ein Vorteil, dass diese nicht von Neulingen als erstes gefunden werden.)

Wenn man als Nutzer tatsächlich ein Dutzend accounts benötigen würde wäre das konzept des lemmyverse wohl gescheitert. Aktuell kann man mit einem account, wenn man sich die richtige Instanz aussucht, auf so ziemlich alles zugreifen. Aber die Jerbora App unterstützt jetzt schon mehrere accounts und es ist kein Problem zwischen zweien hin und her zu schalten. Mit der Zeit wird das ganze sicherlich noch einfacher.

Even popular home instances going excomunicado isn't a huge deal, as people can just make an alternative account just for this instance. Jerbora already supports multiple accounts so it's hardly an inconvenience.

In my opinion modern screens are scratch resistant enough to put in the pocket without many problems and if you need more resistance you can get a screen protecting foil or a case. If my non foldable phone would scratch too much in my pockets I wouldn't really think about replacing it with a device that is twice as expensive and has an additional hinge that could fail.

I like the idea, but $350 is way overpriced in my opinion.

I think a solution could be to allow communities to merge voluntarily if the mods of both agree to. It would only work with instances that aren't blocked anywere. But users that would be subscibed to one would automatically be subscibed to all the merged commuities as well and you could post to the merged commuity from any of the participating instances. That would have the advantage that if one instance fails the community would almost seamlessly continue on the other instances.

I think that's allready pretty good because many people who are against these changes will just probably stop participating on reddit at all during the protest and thereby not influence what's on the front page``.
