A month ago, a windows update made my laptop crawl to a stop. It needed 2-3 hours to respond after a restart/shutdown. It would crash saying the search wasn't initialised, I couldn't type into the search. Fucking nightmare

Finally! Something I can relate to, I had one of these in my last workplace. Was older than my manager and it was only used to fix those 20 year old machines we had lying around.
To anyone wondering, this is a industrial PC which is meant to withstand the hardest of environments. The handle is a boon when you have to run around the factory and your hands are full.
I've fully switched to Firefox everywhere. The only thing I'm missing is a lightweight browser which is not based on chromium for my potato tablet. jQuarks viewer is a good one but can be dumb sometimes, it opens image instead of the link for eg.
I always was optimistic when I was young but the older I get the more I realise why we will not have fucking flying cars, Mars colonisation

It is life changing really. I don't recall ever paying for digital content. I still go to the theatres for an exceptional movie but that's it. It has made me learn more about computers, be a bit savvy in tech. I can't count how many times that has helped me get through my job. It really is an important life skill
