The freely available ones are going to run by the rich to peddle ads and propaganda (yes they do it already but there are still free press floating around asking for donations, which will eventually dry out). The poor will be misled with mis-information and clickbaits and people will wonder why shitheads are getting elected everywhere.

Bots will be posting these on every social media (federated or not) and the freeloaders and "no advertisements ever" crowd that never contribute anything to a sustainable internet with free and accessible information for all will be complaining about "enshittification" all day long.

That's a you problem. The parent comment doesn't even mention US and it is not the center of the universe. China is one of the top polluter currently, and if they alone phase out ICE cars, it would be a net benefit for the world (if they use renewables).

Not everything has to reach the US to be considered "cheap". Western news mentioning USD doesn't mean the company is looking for people in US specifically to buy it. Same as not everyone buying Tesla gets it in local prices abroad.

It's only a genocide if the west disagrees with it.

If you haven't noticed, these posts that steer the discussion in another direction are always attempt to defuse the blame. If you've ever been on reddit, you'll notice people trying really hard to shift blame, change goal posts, point fingers. And they're always highly upvoted.

It's social media PR management 101. You just need a bot farm and you can bet every marketing company does this for anyone that pays.
