Because we're not even close to the end of the year yet and US has shown how anti-science it can be that they're willing to let others die during Covid?

Techcrunch is mostly a PR release website. I wouldn't trust a thing about new companies and products that's featured on there.

EU needs to add repairability and recycling to the list of requirements for imported EVs if it hasn't already. 15-20 years for critical parts at least. China isn't going to care about all the junk that's going to pile up if they aren't built with repairability in mind.

US bypassing congress to send weapons to aggressors in Israel/Palestine, all while zionists claiming they've never needed support. But then Ukraine defending itself, but is not in a strategic location for US influence and surveillance.

Who are they going to pick?

"I pick Israel" -USA

Remember this when USApes claim US is the force of good and peace in the world. It only ever cared about its own interest, which is the will of the rich.

"We already benefited from slaves so now slavery is bad, We dictate what civilized world means"

and

"We polluted the whole world for our industrial revolution, so now pollution is bad, we protec environment"

Outsources everything to a country without any labor rights or environmental protection

feels good man

also

"We enabled our big tech to create a global surveillance system and international monopolies"

Tiktok bad because it reports to CCP

Pointing out any of the hypocrisy means you're a tankie (i'm yet to know what it actually means).

As far as I'm concerened, one does bad things without any filter, one uses the media, tech and its hegemony to project a positive image while severely downplaying and ignoring their atrocities.

Sooner or later, China is also going to learn to do the same with their big tech and media companies.

That "trickle down innovation" is going to be amazing after the earth becomes nothing but a nuclear wasteland but USApes will never stop to point to their military superiority just to flex on some internet strangers like some kindergarten kids.

President Joe Biden, despite having continued to send arms to Israel, warned the country at the time that it may lose international support due to its "indiscriminate bombing" of the Gaza Strip.

"Here are your weapons of mass destruction, now let me go out and warn you to just as a formality, nothin more. Then you can do anything you please"

HN is really not a place to talk about bad things the corporate world does. yCombinator itself is one such corporate incubator. There are a lot of employees, CEOs, and wallstreet type guys that astroturf defending corporate interests.
