You clearly haven't looked at the options and feature set of sync. It would be the muscular bodybuilder in this analogy.

I just bought a lifetime license for Sync. The customization, feature set, and options put it well above the 5 other Lemmy apps I've used. With almost a decade of consistent upgrades to Sync for Lemmy, I trust and support this developer.
I don't think I paid very much for the original version so I don't mind supporting him now but I understand that's not for everyone, so I think $20 for lifetime ad-free is very reasonable.
In Sync settings under View Type, you can enable the option to hide a post from the main feed view. In fact, there's a lot of additional features that can be enabled and customized, the options menu is enormous and it really can be customized to your personal preferences.
The jury selection process will need to be particularly thorough for this trial to avoid a bias one way or another. It would be interesting to hear what questions they ask of potential jurors.
Thanks for the link. It's worth noting that they achieved that at temperatures below 110 Kelvin, and the big breakthrough would be doing the same at room temperature and pressure.

Aww, so cute! What kind of dog is Suki?
It's reddit's own crypto wallet for their NFT profile pictures of Snu you can buy. It sounds like a joke but sadly it's real.
Bird Law is no joking matter!
But let know if anyone finds or creates an IASIP / Bird Law community.
The difference is that some users have been using sync for a decade and using Lemmy for only a month. So it's a lot easier to mentally justify supporting a developer who you've been benefiting from for so long.
I have also donated to my local instance, I really hope to see it all grow together.
