Washing machine apps? Thats wild.😭😭

Oh all they need to do is shelter the app and download from aurora🙌 hopefully. Thats too wishful thinking because sometimes the micro g doesnt work and app from aurora looks like trash.🤣🤣🤣

Knowing myself if i tried to flash an os, i would brick my phone🤣🤣🤣 despite me being in this lemmy sub, im not good with tech🤣

In a few years, ill be looking into that🙌

I feel the same. Like why do we have carry a google device to ungoogle ourselves. Its a confusing topic🤣🤣

Personally in my head( just in my head, not facts), i do not believe that pixels have any better hardware than my one plus. I think its suscipious. Graphene is only one not offering to other phones, so hmmm.

Truu it definitely is😭😭 im trying put linux on my surface tablet, its gonna be a hot mess.

Wait your moving from graphene? Yeah if you dont own a pixel, i guess you have to🙄🙄

Truu linux is a big step but it will work out! Good luck❤️❤️

Makes sense! I havent thought thst deep into it. ❤️❤️ I'll keep that in mind.

Thats truu, i didnt think of goods being costing more depending on the person.. Good point🙌

Its so complicated😭😭

Yeah esp if you are a minority, you should be worried about your privacy now😅

Nicee! I should use shelter more often!

When i was considerong buying a fairphone, fairphones with e/os came up and wondered if it was a good option for privacy.

I do not like pixels, and would love nothing to do with that phone. I prefer my one plus and if i can keep that still have my privacy, that would be nice.

E/os can be put on different android phones my one plus included.

The title says it all. Part of what i do now is to convince people to care about their privacy. I know I cannot force people to do anything. And I have a charisma level of -1, if this was an rpg. Like its nonnexistent.

I feel lonely in general because it feels like people make me feel like I'm delusional for caring about protecting my privacy. Maybe there is a support group for that🤣🤣🤣

But anything I can specifically say that works best in planting a seed in people's mind?

Hi everyone! I know im not good with technology. I brought a surface pro 8, 3 years ago. I obviously understand that was a mistake and i should have listened to programmer cousin. Its gonna be slighty difficult to install linux on it.

I've researched several youtube videos, but i was wondering if anyone had any tips?Obviously the attachable keyboard has to work and i want the touch screen to work. The surface appealed to me when i brought for those features.

With all the privacy concerns of windows, i want to commit to switching my operating system! Thank you everyone for their help with all my privacy questions. Ive been getting into foss and learning kotlin.

The title says it all. I want to wipe my phone and then only use open source apps. The thing im afraid of is not backing up my data correctly and losing things like my keepass.

I have to make sure the data from the open source apps is downloadable as well so i can reload them to my phone.

Any tips to assist me with this process?

Ive just startee getting into privacy, but i had a few questions.

  1. I havent switched operating system yet due to fear of losing my data. I have a lot of pictures, contacts and messages i dont want to go missing. I have a one plus and i really love it. I do not want a pixel phone. Is there a way i can maintain privacy without changing phones?
  2. If i delete google play services, will my phone not work correctly?
  3. I have been replacing my apps with open source apps, is that helpful?
  4. What vpn should i use? I have malewarebytes.
