The current tech-related usage was coined at MIT to mean working on a system. Funny that the oldest recorded source comes from MIT model railroad team.

"Prosperity Gospel" seems such a copout for cult-leaders to justify getting rich on their congregation.

So much for "eye of a needle"...

That sounds like it would be a pretty simple program [...] but I don’t know anything about programming

As a programmer, that phrase tends to raise my blood pressure. But it depends on how they structure their data but since all the elements are already related, it should be easy to query them all together. I bet they've abandoned it more because the query UI is a bit dense for most. But nothing that could be replaced with a simple textbox that could take any combination of cast/crew/titles and find anything that matches the combination. But they might need to add some specific indexing that would use up additional resources.

Pretty much, closed forums, removed or paywalled features. Right now, they are on yet another iteration of dumbing down the UI to the point of being nearly useless.

IMDB used to have an amazing cross-search. You could put any combination of actor, crew, movie/show title and it would bring out common movies/shows.

I'm not forgetting anything. I'm just enjoying two enemies fight it out.

You'd be surprised. The biggest gambler I know is the biggest cheapskate.

Some people are built differently.

I have no impulsion to gamble either. But one of my family members? So much money burned at casinos.

And some home cinema receivers do offer this option. Often labeled something like "night listening mode".

I've found upgrading my front center speaker has greatly improved dialogue. I had my speakers from a home cinema kit and the center front was a puny crappy speaker.

During hot summers, windows are partially open (AC not common in European homes). For a couple of years, there was this one gull who took the surrounding rooftops as its place to be. It would perch on a corner and just yell it's damn lungs off randomly at all times of the day.

I also saw one gull trying to fuck up a crane (the bird) today. And another summer, one gull tried to eat a baby duckling. Duck momma went nuclear and smacked that gull into giving up.

Mike and Jay discuss the new found-footage-ish demonic movie Late Night with the Devil! But more importantly, they break a very important and rare VCR repair tool or something.

Devoted Rejects, Happy 2024!

We are currently gearing up for the coming year, and kicking things off with Hotfix #30.

Please find the notes below:

Fixed a crash which could happen when trying to display information of a player which was still entering the Mourningstar.
Fixed an issue where enemies that weren't aimed at could be hit by fully automatic weapons while aiming down sights and using a gamepad.
Fixed an issue where the Agripinaa Mk XIV Quickdraw Stub Revolver did not display any information under the "Reload Speed" stat when inspecting the weapon.

Dev note: The issue was only affecting the UI; the Reload Speed was correctly modified by the stat.

Fixed an issue where Poxbursters could fail to be staggered by a Psyker Force Sword push-attack if hit at the very outer edge of the attack effective range.
Fixed an issue where hair was incorrectly removed when equipping the Psyker "Deimos MK VIA Rebreather" and "Deimos MK VId Rebreather" head gear cosmetics.
Fixed an issue where music failed to play during the Monstrosity attack in the end event of the Consignment Yard HL-17-36 mission.
Fixed various uncommon crashes.
