How do you do that as a normal user, I can't seem to see it my preferences.

I've been on the Internet since I was 15 so in 1995. I was on ICQ, Usenet and other old technologies. Internet sure has changed a lot since. But I'm excited to be part of the fediverse, it is still in its infancy but I think it will become big. Hopefully not big enough to get riddled with adds or get bought by google or others.

eddit: for the old folks like me: geocities, hotmail and more "recently" digg

Yep, I feel like I'm 20 again (born in 1980, been through BBS, dialup, ADSL, cable, altavista.com and many other things)

Sorry my comment got posted twice, it was not my intention, I think it's due to a bug.

How do you know they came back? Do you see them agin in your profile? I used Power Delete Suite and except for 2 subreddits I can see no posts I made over the 14 last years in my profile? How do I make sure they have actually been deleted?

Maybe you just said that by coincidence but I created a community for #SouthPark here: https://kbin.social/m/SouthPark

If you like the show please don't hesitate to suscribe.

OK I must admit I'm very old in Internet time and I didn't get that they were not talking about a simple navigator on desktop. I do have a smart vaccum cleaner robot which is not a roomba, although I managed to connect it to my wifi and I can control it from an app on my smartphone. Just trying to keep up.

I think a lot will change but I agree with you for the site staying relevant for many more years. It will just not be as good as it once was (and I say that with a 14 years old reddit account). It has been slowly going down for a long time, now there is a quick mini downfall but business will continue as usual until thy've squished all the money they could get out of it. And then it dies.

I don't know, I use uBlock Origin for Chrome (not sure if there are equivalents for other browsers) and I never see adds from my desktop, with a free account.

It does not scrap out sponsor babble but it definitely blocks youtube adds.

@GuyDudeman

@KoalafiedPonki

Very good explanation, just to add to this, kbin has both "threads" like in reddit and microblogs (like in mastodon or tweets on twitter) which is very confusing at first.
