I live in the UK and many neighbours of mine are "professional landlords" and it is so annoying seeing them so relaxed and doing nothing while I am stressed and anxious at my job.

I've never been in the US but I had the idea that a big slice of the working class in the US fits more the definition of slavery rather than workers. These slaves need to work to provide food and a home for themselves and their family and they can't mess with their workplace. Wouldn't it be easier to make voters aware when they vote against their own interests, starting with Trump supporters?

I've tried to join lemmy several times since 2021 but I could succeed only a few weeks ago.

I don't get why new accounts need manual approval.

I also find the word "America" too latino. wouldn't it be better to change it with an English word?

The US President imposes taxes on Canadian imports that US citizens will have to pay. In response, the Canadian Prime Minister retaliates with taxes on US imports that Canadians will have to pay.

Basically, both just want to raise taxes.
