Sure so maybe /c/regulatorybodies then.

Last time we had a census in Australia you could either do it online or on paper. I assume you couldn't just decline to answer individual questions.
It was the first time the required you to identify yourself. I didn't complete one as a kind of conscientious objector. They never followed up with me but the penalties are significant.
Yeah.
I'm not really confident that this is the best way to produce real numbers.
How many people would list their orientation as hetero because they don't want other people in their household to know, or because they don't want to be in a database as we have discussed.
There must be other ways to determine some numbers which are accurate enough for government purposes.
This type of thing makes me super uncomfortable.
IDK how things roll in Canada but here in Australia census is now linked to your identity although they claim to de-identify the data later on. Unfortunately the Australian Government has demonstrated many times that they're just incapable of handling this type of information responsibly.
We don't have an authoritarian government but that could change. They don't need a list of all the non-hetero people in Australia.
Wow. Looking into this for a few minutes I now realise I've been completely naive to this for most of my life. It's an awful but fascinating disaster.
Yeah. There's a correlation vs causation problem here that I don't really have the answers to.
In other words I think that's reductive.
Hillary was Hillary and didn't take Trump seriously.
Kamala was run without much planning and forethought.
AOC might be a woman, and I take your point that may not be in her favor, but she has many virtues that may outweigh that disadvantage.
Oh wow it's you, PugJesus.
I love the photos you post in the various ~historyporn communities.
Aren't most armed service men and women generally conservative?
I had a feeling this would lead nowhere.
precisely the point I was trying to make.
I think we need to wait and see how things shake out. If she can demonstrate broad based support then why not run her.
If it's only lefties who love her, then she's not the right choice.
We won the lottery on this. Had twins, 1 boy 1 girl at birth. They're too young to know if they're gonna be friends, enemies, (probably both?)
