Sounds like they are refusing to show ID in a lot of cases (not sure if they refused here), so they are likely private citizens masquerading as officers.

I personally appreciate the aesthetic of the original. To each their own I guess 😊

I enjoyed rewatching both first and second films recently and I think they hold up pretty well on my 4K TV. What specifically made them look like absolute trash to you?

I’m sure I’ll be downvoted to oblivion for this, but give ChatGPT or local LLMs a try for support. They are surprisingly effective, just keep the perspective that they’re about as alive as a screwdriver. They’re not alive and can’t form emotional or other bonds with you. Working through issues or thought processes or needed some base level support, they seem pretty decent at. Maybe it could limp you along to a building a support network.

That requires an IR source. The glow in the dark might trigger without an external IR source. So depends on the capabilities of the system in question. Some have active IR scene illuminators, some are passive.

What drew you to Lemmy and/or the Fediverse in general?

Anyone else concerned the sky looks so much hazier?

It sounds like something similar to RAG (retrieval augmented generation) or a database lookup. Are you storing the transcripts in a SQL like database or noSQL db or doing semantic similarity on any of it?

I was thinking of a similar project and building a knowledge graph for each person.
