It had a leak a few years back. Not a huge one, but it'd add up on devices that had a ton of tabs or were always on.

Discord has real advantages over many of those, and communities are slow to pick up and move. It'll take either a very bad decision from discord or a good competitor. I want that competitor to be Matrix, but it's far from perfect.

Which is essentially already what's happening. The default "license" of something is that you have full ownership and no rights are given to anyone else. You've essentially give your company an exception to use it for that project.

I'm glad I skipped release day. Definitely waiting to buy it on sale after it's been fixed with updates and DLC. Sucks to see companies treat buyers like testers.

My concern with it is how far away it is from amything. it's an hour by bus to the nearest library (which a lot of unhoused/poor people rely on for various services) and a 30 minute ride to the closest groceries (Save A Lot). I don't think it's very close to any social services either.

I'm not fully against because more housing is good, but I wish it was a more holistic approach. Maybe they'll include some on premise services tho.

That's true, I was simplifying a little bit because it certainly depends on how you lose it. Crash diets are the worst because they can really mess with your organs, but liposuction or more balanced changes can avoid the worst of that.
