As a pirate, I understand the necessity of pretending that they don't like us. I am fine with it until it becomes a situation where they actually don't like us anymore.

Ironically, I prefer for LibreOffice to not follow my dark mode setting. I always want it to be light mode.

Massive Microsoft bribes incoming...

Well yeah? Took them far too long to get on Steam, and they got totally eclipsed by Palworld and Helldivers 2.

I also played it for a bit and it's really not that fun.

Clearly, companies only pass the savings along when a competitive market forces them to.

Because nobody else will drive 15 miles for a $2 dollar order.

It seems to actually be called that for real & isn't the title being censored

They should have been doing this from the start.

What steps, if any, do you guys take on the linux distribution of your choice to play visual novels?

I, personally, set the following in my .bashrc

alias vn='env WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.wine LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 wine start '

so I can just type vn gameExecutable.exe and usually just have the game work.

For the games I've had for a while, I have .desktop entries in my $XDG_DATA_HOME/applications directory with more specific commands as needed.

If you guys have any other tricks up your sleeves, please feel free to share them here.

What realistic options do we have for making a copy of this wiki here on lemmy? Am I going to have to spin up a DokiWiki? Repurpose my WordPress blog to post some of these articles? I'm open to suggestions, too.

This tool will let you find communities from all over the fediverse.

To add a community:

  • Find the community you want on lemmyverse
  • Click the link (has the box with an arrow pointing out of it)
  • Copy the URL of the page it sends you to
  • Navigate back to https://lemmy.comfysnug.space
  • Go to the search page
  • Paste the URL into the search bar
  • Click Search

Often times, it should show up as a search result. If not, hard refresh the lemmy page and search a second time. This is necessary if the server didn't know about the community before to actually show the result, since federation does take some time.

The only legit source for RuneLite

For me, Yume Miru Kusuri was my first visual novel. I don't even remember why I played it, but I liked it so much that I'm here forever now.
