Advice aside it can be really frustrating when you start hrt and they start you on a low dose. I remember being disappointed when it happened to me

that’s fine as a starter dose, just make it goes up as needed and that you get an actual antiandrogen if needed (finasteride can be helpful but isn’t a replacement for an actual antiandrogen like spironolactone or cyproterone acetate)

Edit: specifically if the estrogen isn’t lowering your testosterone to cis female levels on its own (which it probably won’t) then you need an antiandrogen
