I find the average user less grating than the average world or ohshitit'sjustfash users. There's some fucking wankers but hey it's the internet.

Good to get perspectives critical of the imperial core and usually more insightful than the average conservative/lib take. Like I might think that glazing NK is hilarious, but it's not like you don't find hundreds of users glazing farcial "representative" democracies constantly which are only marginally further along in terms of real freedom to act in a way contrary to the nation state.

Fourth largest country in the world, a pseudo-democracy like our government, right off the coast. You don't hear a fucking whisper about them unless some moron is breaching their boarders during a dick polishing exercise.

Conscription is fucking evil. Forcing people to die for a fucking legal entity.

Training programs for a population is one thing, so people are ready if they choose to fight in the face of a threat that is actually existential but forcing people to go murder other poor sods over lines on a map somewhere else in the world is... something.

But what if China raided our trade routes with China!

LMAO, the authors really want this paper to be false.

Also wtf, lots of people here who hate programming but want to be good at it in the comments. LLMs give you badbrain, programming is one of the most selfless professions. We are literally drowning in free tutorials, lessons, books, assistive tools (vim/emacs extensions, autocompletes, syntax checkers, repls, style enforcers, delinters...). Just go learn, it's chill.

Doing it as a job kinda sucks but welcome to capitalism, they're not gonna let you automate drudgery away. Better performance = do more work or starve.

Don't use the passive voice and weasel-words. If you want to make claims make them.

It could be argued that the use of the passive voice and the abstract attribution of an argument to a nebulous other. A practice which has been described in some literature as the use of "weasel-words", has a deleterious effect on comprehension and dilutes discussion by making unclear the distinction between the beliefs of interlocutors and mere speculation.

It's antisemetic to report on an army gunning down semetic civvies.

I dunno how much blood is personally on his hands, but the government certainly continues to support and arm their genocidal regime.

Settler-colonial solidarity I suppose :s would be nice if our lords and masters could be on the right side of history for once.

Something I really struggle with on this shit, is the government has cracked down so hard here, but like aboriginal Aussies are still undergoing genocide here as we speak. Massive overpolicing, massively higher deaths in custody, massively higher deaths in healthcare, horrific amounts of racism. Yet apparently we need a special action body on legitimising Israel :|

All science is art and all art has a science to it :p but I take your meaning that certain facts are best, or perhaps only, attainable experientially.

I'll have a play.

Edit: protip for anyone trying this: Check the relative densities of the fluids first lmao

If you have the patience a handful of specific questions:

  • Do you use the concave or convex side of the spoon?
  • About how high do you hold the spoon off the surface?
  • About what angle do you hold the spoon to the surface?
  • If pouring on a large area do you move the spoon about or do you keep pouring in one place and let the liquid spread?
  • Where onto the spoon do you pour the liquid?

Much obliged.

Yeah that would probably work!

Could you clarify that spoon technique? That might be useful.
