We can discuss it forever, but my take is that the movies you mention are not cyberpunk; well, maybe demolition man is. RoboCop, on the other hand, is 100% cyberpunk.

That is Nirvana by Gabriele Salvadores, probably not the one op had in mind. But it's a good fit for this thread. If you want to watch it, get the Italian version with the eng subtitles, I'm told the English voiceover is utter crap.

If you are from Europe and you have always wondered how the Americans live with weekly school shootings, the climate disaster is our version of the same conundrum.

Hundreds of deaths, billions in damages and we can only collectively shrug and go on with business as usual.

The Onion should make a new version of the old article "‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens" but with floodings and heath waves.

Genetically modify ourselves so that we can live both in zero gravity (and maybe survive short exposure to vacuum) and on other planets.

It's almost like modern United States were built on an ancient Indian burial ground...

There was a Dr who episode with this plot, but the insect inside the earth was a spider.

I Need a device like this that I can buy through an actual store, as I need to buy them for my office. Do you know any?

It does not even matter if it has ip connection, just usb is fine, but i need to be able to buy it from an "official" source.

Jonathan Coulton's the future soon and the Doubleclicks' lasers and feelings talk about the same characters from two different points of view.

I have no proof of this, but the artists are friends, so there is that.

I know, but why would that make morgoth a good guy? Also, I think the op was referring to the time fingolfin challenged morgoth, but he started in his fortress

I got that reference, but I miss the fingolfin one. I doubt morgoth stayed in his fortress because he's a good guy.
