It's so funny to me that british cuisine is basically anything that is slapped together from the pantry

I discovered an incredible dinner, it's basically microwaved potato and tuna lol, but like with shitton of paprika, garlic , pepper and a modest amount of olive oil. this is it. my boy dinner.

oh if it wasn't attributed, it's a total violation of GPL

they seem like an asshole, but i don't get the allegations of code theft, they branched a codebase under GPL to integrate into their own GPL codebase which is perfectly fair game and the whole point of licensing your stuff under GPL.

i mean while capitalism is certainly horrifying, you can understand its methods and material constraints and even study them and write a whole 3 tome book about how it instrumentalizes life itself. cosmic horror has a sublime trait to it, it's not just that the universe is cruel, is that its reasons why it subjects terror onto you are just beyond your grasp, and so you imagine that maybe there's even more unfathomable cruelty on its ways that you haven't been subjected to yet. in lacanian terms, it's an otherness so radical it resists symbolization, in a way capitalism just does not. only someone as racist as lovecraft, so neurotically terrified of the abstract otherness of foreign people could've authored this cthulhu crap lol. i think our lives are just becoming very secular and cynical. maybe materialism has really taken over everything, even over the hapless mystics who have turned spirituality into a commodity, and we can wonder no more. in itself a horror, yes.

Milei is alienating his own voters because even they believe in something even if it's ludicrous libertarian shit. Like dude hasn't won anything yet and is already selling out his own convictions to some discontent centrists and even to fucking trots apparently (who rightfully flipped him off lol)

there's degrees to "falling for that shit" though. the cost of minting an NFT is literally negligible for the coca cola company, and the upside is enormous if it becomes an irrational market like bitcoin was. otoh, making a game centered around NFTs is sad as fuck, those people got screwed hard.

also, this is just my perception, but it could've been the other way around even. bitcoin became an irrational market because there was some purity to its conception: it was merely an unfeasible currency theory put into action, so libertarians could masturbate over it. as lousy as the theoretical pinnings of bitcoin are, there were no companies getting in on the action from the getgo. it wasn't meant to be a casino, it just devolved into one. companies getting day one onto the NFT train just made it way more obvious that it was meant to extract profit from compulsive gamblers, and the unsightliness accelerated their demise. it was just too on the nose for most people.
