I had the same thought. The lighting maybe? Or the background trees? Something feels off

From what I remember seeing, international education in the US is considered an export since the money is coming in typical from their parents bank account. If you consider all fees and cost of living for a student they add a lot to the local economy where they go to school.

That last line reminds me of a video during the Occupy Wall Street movement where it showed a bunch of hedge fund managers or something holding a galla above and they were seen pointing and laughing at the protesters below. It was simply entertainment to them.

I had a friend who wanted to make my No Bake cookies for her husband so I showed her the recipe and she said she had everything.

I show up to a game night and she’s making them but substituted the butter for the ‘can’t believe it’s not butter’ stuff. I told her it’s not the same thing and she didn’t believe me.

Instead of cookies she served us bowls of congealed cookies.

She tried blaming me but my friend knew better and called her out for not following the recipe.

The thing that always bothered me about law and order shows were that the detectives would easily believe someone’s alibi as fact and just move on. Then you watch a show the first 48 and all they care about is the conviction probability. They don’t care about facts, just what their likelihood of winning in court would be.

I am lawful neutral (use clip it came with) until about halfway through the loaf, then I become chaotic neutral (twist and tuck) at the back half.

There isn’t enough bag to properly twist and tuck until that point anyway.

The word hypernormalisation was coined by Alexei Yurchak a professor of anthropology who was born in Leningrad. He introduced the word which describes paradoxes of life during the 1970s and 1980s in the USSR. He says everyone in the Soviet Union knew the system was failing, but no one could imagine any alternative to the status quo and politicians and citizens alike were resigned to maintaining the pretense of a functioning society. Over time, the mass delusion became a self-fulfilling prophecy with everyone accepting it as the new norm rather than pretend.

Your emotions and feelings are your brain and body’s way of communicating with you - listen to them. If you take some time to feel your feelings with a sympathetic lens, you can better understand what’s wrong. While fixing it will be a lot longer of a journey, simply allowing your self to listen will be a good first step.

I’d guess it would be less dramatic than that. Probably mics and bugs throughout it so they can get some good data on him.

Agreed. Dude was unhinged and didn’t give a fuck about any of that in this scene. Which obviously made it more tense

How big of a library do you have? I have a goal of buying an HD tower plus 6 more HDD to host everything. Yes, my physical library is pretty decent but my current digital one can fit on just a few external HDs. :/

His manifesto was all about technology controlling our lives. That’s my guess as to why that’s in there.

We got our Mini a few months ago and we love it! Can’t imagine going back to ICE after driving this! The range is something to get used to but my work has free charging so it’s easy to charge and I’ve found I need to leave it plugged in for half the work day twice a week, which isn’t bad.

I just got a location near me and I’m curious about your thoughts. I currently get the bean burrito and fiesta veggie burrito as they’re cheap and vegetarian. What items do you like making or hate making? Any recommendations?

At work, we use Google Services and it's been acting kinda weird and slow lately, anyone else seeing issues? Examples: Google Chat takes an hour to load and has to be restarted. Google Calendar does not have the latest meetings up to date, Gmail is slow to function, and Drive is slow to load documents.
