Did the deputy have anything to do with the shooting?

I got myself a plug-in hybrid for that very reason - but I am single. I would think a couple with kids would probably prefer a dual vehicle setup where one is long range (hybrid potentially counts) and the other one a cheap EV for running daily errands.
Right now, batteries are so expensive that they eclipse the weirdness of having two separate engines in a car. I would think we'll soon see much cheaper batteries, and then the cheap EV will potentially end up being a lot cheaper than a hybrid.
Overall, I would absolutely agree with you. But with the recent fall of oil prices, I don't think the economics are there for Putin to be able to sustain the war. He needs it to end, and soon.
Zelenskyy, on the other hand, seems to have been rattled by the swiftness with which Russia pushed back Ukraine out of Kursk oblast once America stopped intelligence sharing.
I could see it play out like you describe: both sides continue to just want to outlast the other. Even then, the Trump administration plays linchpin: they can stop intelligence sharing again, and they can push the price of oil up and down to an extent.
I continue being surprised that the war is not more unpopular in Russia. Something that makes a million people flee out of their country can't really be value neutral or even popular. But then again, Russia has a very long history of stubborn rulers that pushed things too far and then were overthrown when they wouldn't relent, which is again the scenario you describe.
Until we get actual sales figures, it's a little early to tell if people crave the Pebble. I do want one, but it's mostly because I saw the potential for app development and imagined the amazing things people would write for it. Definitely not because it's unique.
I think low cost EVs are the perfect vehicles for the electric transitions. You needed some flagship model like the Tesla Roadsters at first to make EVs cool, but a cheap EV means you can have it as second vehicle for a family and don't have to worry about range anxiety, because you still have your monster gas guzzler available.
Then, over time, you realize you never use the monster gas guzzler anymore because 99% of your trips are well withing EV range. The main problem, then, is that nobody will want your monster gas guzzler any longer.
All very fair points, I agree.
However, economists said it was largely driven by an unprecedented surge in imports, as consumers and companies braced for the president to impose his controversial wave of tariffs.
That's the worst part: a significant chunk of the economic activity in the first quarter came from companies getting ready for tariffs. So now they are totally overstocked for a country bracing for the reduction of consumer spending that usually comes with a drop in consumer sentiment.
Let them go on the record as supporting this madness, and let them go on the record often.
Purdue Pharma and the entire Sackler family. I've witnessed so many horrible things done by Oxycontin-addicted people; knowing that history, I want to puke my guts out.

Great functionality, great price, great domain name, great business model.
Didn't know that PayPal still does business in Russia, though.
