It's like anything you will get better with practice and it can be tricky and frustrating at the start for certain techniques but over time you can improve and things will get simpler/faster.

When I started out I did research into how to look after your skin and the basics of make up application, you can find a ton of info on all products online along with videos on the likes of youtube on how to apply.

Start with basics you don't have to use a toner and a primer to begin with but I use primer, concealer, foundation, mascara & eyeliner, occasionally I'd use blush and rarely eyeshadow. Use a good cleanser and moisturise your skin too.

Look into how to apply each and practice.

@[email protected] has previously posted a little guide on makeup here that has info on the order or products which is handy (again you can drop a few products to simplify the process or if you don't use them)

What makes you feel overwhelmed? Anything specific about the videos?

spoilerI understand, Ash had given me a non spoilered reply to respond to your post lol as I try to avoid too many spoilers before I read/watch/consume anything but yeah um.. I haven't had to say goodbye to friends before as I've never had long term friends, closest I've come to that kind of feeling would be I cut my family out of my life but it wouldn't be quite the same. I mean if I wrote a book on my experieces people probably wouldn't fully understand and have to pull from other experiences and similar things to build a picture, and it would probably not be a particularly pleasant one.

spoiler

I still think about the little montage of her in different moments as Beth is unable to bury her with the sun casting it's long shadows as it sets. I can't open my copy cause I don't wanna cry but the ending line of it being like I wish I was a girl means so much to me, I'd put it on my tombstone as a shorthand for my life too

I have empathy with the perspective of trans women but I wouldn't feel much on this from personal level. I always factor in other queer experiences when I'm reading something which I can empathise with but don't share the experience. I've never felt like nor wanted to be a woman.

I always have to factor in that I'll be not feeling the same things and maybe missing some points here or there, that's where reading other reviews and takes from a viewpoint that does share that perspective is helpful and helps me understand more.
