It's a fairly simple question, if you suck a bendy straw through a garden hose you have to calculate two open cylinders. Almost like a pipe mail system. But the environment is completely different. If you suck on one side of the hose the air in front of the straw will rapidly cool down and the friction of the straw will heat up the air behind it. Like a jet engine. So the straw will accelerate to about enough speed to shoot right through your head.
