I just ran across this article probably scrolling here or mastodon, but I already forgot where

The bat shit I've run across is absolutely the worst smelling thing I've ever run across. Similar experience to a rotting whale carcass

I wish Lemmy pulled previews properly

There's a link to the backstory up there

That was my point

It's the 20th century here and we already don't allow smoking indoors

I don't really care. You're the one who made it personal

I'm a GIS professional for 11 years and work with accessibility so no it's not a personal issue. Any more than 5 color classes are too much. Your inability to accept criticism is a personal issue

Too many data classes. Too many colors. I can't determine exactly what class states are without a color picker.

Your update legend is more confusing than the original

Fundamentally obsessing about votes and building a community based on votes will corrupt the whole system. We've been here before

Inb4 I don't

I'm not asking if you do it, I'm asking people how you do it

Edit: sorry I forgot I posted this and came back to a bunch of answers. I have a torn something in my shoulder that no MRI has been able to find for 20 years so I can't just reach it. I myself use a long cloth, but I don't really like it so I was curious what other people did.

Also, I don't wash my back every shower, but I do get pretty sweaty sometimes and feel like I just have to

Is it just me or is something broken?

When friends give me free food or drinks, I usually tip the full cost of what I was given. So if you gave me an $8 drink, I would tip you $8.

This still benefits me in that I don't have to pay that $8 plus another tip, but I'm wondering if there's an expectation or standard that would save me some $

Sometimes this one place gives me $20 of food before closing when I only intended to spend $5 so the upsell kinda hurts

Is there some way to browse the communities on an instance in Arctic? I can't find it if it's there

If you scroll back to old posts, the post where you stopped gets marked as read but it should only get marked read when you scroll past it, not when you can first see it. The current behavior makes it so you can't spot a particular post to know you've reached as far back as you want to go.

Normally I want to accept most cookies and not delete them.

There are two sites that I want to delete cookies when I navigate away from them.

If I outright block cookies on these sites, they don't work properly.

I've tried a few cookie extensions and can't figure out how to basically whitelist everything except these two sites without manually whitelisting everything.
