I didn't know I had this many walking amongst me. Of the ones I've spoken with they seem to share these values:

They seem to hate that Ontario is forcing "gays" on kids at such a young age. I'm assuming my friend meant teaching about accepting people from different backgrounds, as I don't think sex education applied to the age range he was referring.

They think they're being taxed too highly (that's fine).

They think US Healthcare woes are exaggerated. One said that you don't really pay that fee, it's a different fee and it's not that much. Another said: I don't go to the hospital that often.

They think life will be better in the States with all the untaxed dollars they'll have.

(I will reiterate that these are just the ones that I've spoken with) I'm just wondering why they don't just move there. If you hate being Canadian so much start the process of emigration ...

His inability to answer the questions is infuriating.

They display the product’s energy efficiency rating, on a scale from A to G, along with battery life, the number of charge cycles the battery is rated for, letter grades for durability and repairability, and any applicable IP rating for protection from dust and water.

It looks like individual scores for the battery and repairability. The battery score seems to be just charge cycles. Repairability would probably something similar to iFixit but we'll have to see. I do like this though or at least the attempt of it.

Alongside the labels the EU is introducing “ecodesign requirements” imposing minimum standards on the same products. Those include protection from splashes of water (and dust particles larger than 1mm for phones), scratch and drop protection, batteries that retain at least 80 percent of their capacity after 800 charging cycles, and making “critical spare parts” available within 5-10 working days.

I think XKCD is a good example of this.

Imagine if it was the Dems and it was a woman. You'd hear about this for months.

Yes! That's what confuses me. I'm voting Liberal because there's no real proportional representation (yet 🤞) and we need to keep Pierre out of office.

However, when I speak to Conservative voters and I ask them why ... they're describing the NDP platform and I'm so confused.

Yup. Richest guy in the world also wants to be the most popular and loved too. He could have easily continued that image by not actively damaging his "brand" for no reason with his immature outbursts. He also could have given money to those that needed it. He's never going to do it seems because those were never apart of his core values. He loves pretending that they are though.

There was a post yesterday or so that he was extremely depressed after getting booed on stage with Dave Chappelle. That made me quite happy.

Yeah about the same. I still feel like we should be voting regardless.

I always had an opinion of, if I don't vote (as a bare minimum) I can't complain about the outcome. I am considering maybe being more politically active or involved lately though.

If democrats stay this course they will never hold more than 45% of congress again and only win the white house maybe once every 3 or 4 terms.

Yeah I'm feeling that.

You bring up really good points. How do you go to the large donors and say, "give us more money to help take more money from you".

Did you listen to the latest tiff between David Hogg and James Carville?

Carville really wants to push progressives out of the Democratic party while keeping their heads in the sand. I think his last rant was because Hogg wants to replace existing Dems (Carville says he should be replacing Republicans). However, I think Hogg wants to do this because these Dems aren't really doing anything and waiting to pick up the pieces from this Trump administration. I think agree more with Hogg that it's more important to show the people that you represent them rather than be like: "we're not the Republicans".

I'm not an entire fan of Hogg though, he seems a bit inconsistent but I agree with him here.

To be clear, people should have voted for the Democrats. We're all in the position we're in because not enough people did. Would you get what you want? No. But we still wouldn't be in the mess otherwise. I mean, assuming the election wasn't stolen.

That being said, all these older people that don't seem interested in fighting for their people need to be purged from the Democrats. I don't know if it's because they're really old or out of touch or what. There's a thirst for people to want representation for them to fight (as seen by the AOC and Bernie rallies). I think their inactivity isn't helping for the most part. Also, they need to get some more names out there.

I remember growing up in the UK and Disneyland or Disney world was always a bit of a joke about giving loads of offers but no takers.

Then again, it wasn't until I met Americans growing up did I realize how seriously they took Thanksgiving too.
