Anyone still listening to JRE know what he thinks about it? I wonder if he went full hypocrite at this rate or still has some principles.

Did his dad make him go? I thought the story was he was gonna go with his wife but his son took the spot because he wanted to go.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/26/mother-of-teenager-who-died-on-titan-sub-said-she-gave-her-place-to-son

She said: “It was supposed to be Shahzada and I going down. I stepped back and gave the place to Suleman because he really wanted to go.”

lol, well ... let me clarify the "beautiful" comment ...

so a coworker won "Most Attractive Employee" or something like that, yes it's a weird company party. Anyways, the next morning I was using it pseudo-sarcastically in front of everyone by calling him a beautiful person in front of everyone. However, my other coworker thought I was talking about him and said "thank you". However, it made him smile and I just started doing it all the time to my fellow coworkers. I definitely consider them all mates.

What's funny is that I actually don't compliment my female coworkers the same way. I feel as though it could be misconstrued and I'd not like that.

For those of us familiar with QI, I'm sure everyone's thinking of this bit when you read this: https://youtu.be/uXom0OP3Rwk

lol I told some of my coworkers, "how're you doing you beautiful man" ... they're like, "thank you for saying that"

of course, you have to have a certain relationship where it doesn't come off too weird but dudes complimenting dudes should be normalised.

I wonder if dudes complimenting other dudes mainly applies to like "skills". Like you're a great fisherman or driver or coder or something. I wonder if those are more typical?

Yeah, I think it was crapped on universally by almost everyone.

I think most people are saying that they really need placements matches in Rivals for competitive.

I think I'm swapping to Expedition 33 for now though.

I never really played competitive shooters until Marvel Rivals. I'm just trying to play a game and people are screaming up and down about nothing.

I don't even play competitive, I play quick match and I usually try to swap roles to match the team comp.

I've been playing long enough that I try to stop people yelling at our own teammates. Although, it doesn't stop the enemy team from instigating.

I went further and taught myself a few forms of calligraphy. I played with the fountain pen and then bought lots of ink and stuff. Great way to zone out.

It was funny when we used to be in the office to sign a farewell card and I would do it fancy.

I dunno, I heard about the history of Bungie and what Pete Parsons did to the company. There should be no surprise. He destroyed it and Marathon is just another indicator it seems.

I feel bad for the artist and hope they get more than just "exposure" after this.

Just that the right tried to cancel them. Whether they succeeded is besides the point, I think? Because it's an example of them engaging in cancel culture.

I still don't know why they didn't just do another timeline or story/characters within the Avatar universe. You can go back and do any of the other Avatars or dig into other stories and characters.

The same story and characters seem odd to me.

Also, imagine a side story and then seeing Aang show up or something. Wouldn't that be doper than seeing a remake?
