Downvoting a post ain’t brigading 😂

Is there not an option in Lemmy to make a community private, or exclude it from /all?

That sounds like what you need if you can’t handle general users disagreeing with you.

It truly is disassociated rambling.

There’s no single thought process, it’s just a collage of random comments.

Banning people for downvoting posts is the most sensitive thing I’ve actually seen on the internet first hand.

And yet they probably still think people dislike them just because they’re vegan 🤷‍♂️

It’s just a reckless way to live and is frankly plunging our entire society into unabated chaos

the hell does it matter what gender said characters identify as? Why would it matter if we had all types of Space Marines (yeah, yeah, lore, yadda-yadda, but c'mon...the Rubicon Primaris itself contradicts a whole lotta lore... it's 40k, its lore is as stable as melted cheese), or trans characters, or agender, or anything else?

tbf, I think you’ve kinda hit the nail on the head with that.

Why does it matter in 40k? It would just be irrelevant and therefore not worth mentioning or shoehorning in.

I know the whole “This games woke!” mob are obnoxious, but it does annoy me sometimes when there’s an irrelevant token character when the story doesn’t need it.

Do it properly or don’t do it at all. Stop chucking token characters into stuff just for mass appeal, it’s ultimately a disservice.

Make interesting original characters and stories that revolve around that, rather than trying to cram that into something else.

Uhh, what kinda dispute causes an entire staff to quit??

Can’t see any reason mentioned in the article other than a disagreement with the owner.

Just seems crazy that they’ve let such a successful team walk away, when it sounds like the team were willing to find a way forward…

Because it’s obnoxious.

And while it may not break rules, it goes against the spirit of online forums and discussion to ban people and prevent discussion just because they respectfully disagree with you.

Also, Lemmy has an issue if a post can gain traction because mods just block anyone who downvotes, preventing them from voting on further posts.

Did you just ban me from the community because I downvoted one of your comments?

All I ever did in the community was downvote you and now I can’t post or vote there 😂

There’s a video you can watch if that helps.

It was actually a normal, endearing interaction, but people gotta be outraged anyway 🤷‍♂️

I always see people asking for it, but I guess we’re actually the vocal minority in this situation.
