I think Trump genuinely wants to be peacemaker

Trump's never given a flying fuck about anything other than Trump, and never will.

He is enough of a narcissistic idiot to believe he could achieve peace in the middle east by bombing Iran, though, not because he cares about peace but because he genuinely believed it would get him the Nobel peace price, which he needs because Obama of all people got one, and extremely narcissistic Trump's never gotten over Obama making fun of him at the 2011 White House Correspondents' dinner.

When both Israel and Iran immediately violated his unilateral ceasefire (to the surprise of no one but Trump) he saw his prospects for said Nobel price, which he already considered in his pocket, evaporate, which explains his tantrum.

Using binary you can count to 31 on one hand and 1023 on two.

And if you don't mind getting carpal tunnel syndrome you can use ternary to count to 242 on one hand and 59048 on two, but you'll probably get cramps.

I want my browser to render web pages as fast as possible and using as few resources as possible, while complying with W3C standards.

For anything else I might want, there's extensions.

This AI bullshit is costing me RAM, CPU cycles, and electricity without giving me anything of value in return. It's malware, plain and simple.

All the 1985s in the Back to the Future trilogy are at the same point in time dimension 1 (1985, duh), but different points in time dimension 2.

The Delorean takes a shortcut through time dimension 3 (think the typical wormhole analogy of poking a hole through a folded piece of paper) to get between the various 1985s and the various 1955s and 2015s, and 1855 (it's obviously not using time dimension 1, since it "vanishes" at one point and reappears at another, or 2, since that wouldn't allow it to get to a different year).

(Of course this is utter nonsense because that's not how time travel works in Back to the Future, but it works as an analogy and it's less complicated than Avengers: Endgame).

Every single one of those scammers is making those claims, and worse, starting with calling their shit AI.

They're selling useless and harmful shit, they know they're selling useless and harmful shit, and they plan to run away with the money the second the bubble starts to burst, without a single care for the state they'll leave the internet and the economy in.

I'm sure you could run Eliza in the Atari...

LLM’s are not meant to do anything like playing a chess game

They're being sold as being able to play chess, though.

This is like drag racing an F1 car and a Camry

More like racing a Reliant Robin and an answering machine.

lizard that can spray blood from its eye, but nothing in the animal kingdom past or present has a human's innate ability for ranged attack

I don't know, a hawk plummeting from the sky at 190km/h onto something the size of a small rodent is kind of impressive, too, if you count the bird throwing itself as throwing...

Also in very short races (up to 100m) if the human is an olympic athlete, though mostly because momentum is a bitch and it takes time for the horse to accelerate all that mass, and by the time it's done the race is already over (it also probably helps that the athlete knows what they're doing while the horse is just along for the ride and wondering where it can get some grass).

in the unable-to-reason-effectively sense

That's all LLMs by definition.

They're probabilistic text generators, not AI. They're fundamentally incapable of reasoning in any way, shape or form.

They just take a text and produce the most probable word to follow it according to their training model, that's all.

What Musk's plan (using an LLM to regurgitate as much of its model as it can, expunging all references to Musk being a pedophile and whatnot from the resulting garbage, adding some racism and disinformation for good measure, and training a new model exclusively on that slop) will produce is a significantly more limited and prone to hallucinations model that occasionally spews racism and disinformation.
