I contemplate to still count calories but be more liberal with my deficit and follow up on her advice to track my emotions. That would "secure" me against uncontrolled eating while also following up on her advice on listening to my body and being less strict.

She is a registered dietician with the national dietician's organisation. and overall she didn't ring the pseudo-science alarm bell, to which I am quite sensitive.

Very good point.

  • Serving it on a smaller plate / bowl
  • Adding a vegetable side / salad, so that you mix bites of your favourite dish with something that fills you up.

Lost now up to 3kg since starting calorie counting which is great. Yesterday was an appointment with a dietician and I left with mixed feelings, she suggested dropping the calorie counting, but just keep a food diary that also would includes emotional status reporting (the aim is to bring across more self reflection and for me to learn to „listen to my body“) not sure whether I am ready to give up the control calorie counting provides though. I might just keep two food journals for now.

I think her motivation for having me stop calorie counting is that I tend to swing back and forth between phases of dietary control and the opposite so she wants me to practice moderation. I just feel tje appropriste time for moderation Training might rather be when my BMI is <25 and currently it’s >35

 

After some days of weight fluctuaions, I got a new lowest-weight reading today since I started calory-counting in June.

Doing CICO at ~ 1900 kcal per day and try to add sports on top if feasible (this week it wasn't because a family member was sick).

Peeing while standing I do only at urinals. At home I sit. Of course I would also pee while standing, but the additional cleaning need is just not worth it.

In most recent games, the opponent just attacked aggressively in the first 5 moves and I am somehow not able to defend correctly.

Also, the opponent is usually not playing "stockfish moves", so I have the feeling they wouldn't stand a chance moving that early that aggressively if their opponent wasn't me.

Maybe it helps to think about the fact that everything scales with size so while his target kcal for weight loss might make you fill full (or maintenance) but for him it might be as challenging as your 1200 kcal limit.

Overall all you can do is do your thing, potentially introduce healthier habits like substituting rice with chick peas etc. but eventually he is responsible for his body. (I am also responsible for my weight gain).

Irgendwer schrieb auf Twitter dass die Studie evtl Probleme hat mit der Repräsentation. Also neben der Schlagzeile hier wurde z.b. auch Fragen zur Einstellungen zu homosexualität abgefragt und die Antworten diesbezüglich waren wohl chauvinistischer / menschenfreundlicher als in anderen repräsentative Studien. Somit haben wir hier eine Studie die mehreren anderen Studien wiederspricht was auf einen methodischen Mangel hinweist

EU subsidies and competitive pricing stuff happening for cow milk (it’s one of these products supermarkets consider essential and thus they aim to compete with Aldi prices). Also for soy products since they are considered “lifestyle” products producers and stores assume they can make more profit from those.
