That looks incredible for FDM! I've tried a few times but my Ender can only do .2mm layer height at best.

But I've been following this YouTuber's efforts and he gets really good results on FDM and has pointers, settings, tools, and supports that might help you get even better results (if you haven't seen these already):

I got a Bosch last year, simple setup, no IoT bullshit, just works, quiet. For what it's worth, the guy who installed it told me "I install new dishwashers and remove old ones in the process all the time. I've never had to remove a Bosch dishwasher".

No, they're not sold anymore. But the RaspPi acts just like the original hardware once the software is installed and configured. If you like tinkering, it's a nice afternoon project. And since Pis are so versatile, it opens up a bunch of possibilities for other projects (I recommend a PiHole for example) even if this application doesn't fit your needs.

If it helps, there's also option D: RaspberryPi with Steam Link. Cheap, functional, and flexible.

That's what I set up at home and it's working great. If you play with a controller, note that some games work better than others or have weird requirements to get the controller to work (e.g. for Space Marine 2 I have to keep a wired controller plugged into my main tower for the Steam link wireless controller to work).

RaspPi also gives you the opportunity to set up and play old-school emulated games if that's interesting to you.

You might like Vox Machina (fully animated) or give Dimension 20 a shot.

You might also like Apashe's stuff:

I think this is from the same artist, great stuff:

I ordered a couple from frontline gaming, really nice quality and the right size. They're in the US but I'm sure they'd ship to Canada.

Bladerunner maybe?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

This is super dope, what a fantastic idea and good execution. Well done!

If an operative has the "severe concussion" battle scar, their ~~WS~~ BS is penalized as if injured. If that operative falls below half its wounds in battle, is their ~~WS~~ BS penalized again?

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski fits that model really well.

Looking for comments/feedback/concerns because I'm just taking guesses at what I'm building honestly.

This is intended to replace my current machine, from which I will move two dedicated SSDs (one for gaming, one for music tools & software). I already have a solid external sound card, so that won't need to be replaced.

What I want to do with it:

  • Gaming: Sometimes 1080p, sometimes "3K" (Eyefinity on triple monitors at 1920x1080 each)
  • Development: Needs fast processor and plenty of RAM to compile/build and run
  • Music production: Needs fast processor and plenty of RAM to load samples and tools in memory

Budget is ~$1,000 USD with some wiggle room. Hoping this build will last 4-5 years at least (for comparison, this is my current build, still serviceable: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jodawznev/saved/jpvTCJ after 6+ years).

I would greatly appreciate any comments or feedback on this!

The new Strike Force Justian KillTeam is loaded on KTDash. This is the KillTeam you can build with the new "Warhammer Heroes" blind box set. Very simple and straightforward team, no equipment. It's intended for beginners or new players.

I've never spent this much time on painting my minis. Still too scared to paint eyes, maybe next time!

A Frankenstein’s monster of reiver, infiltrator, primaris, and “heroes of the chapter” bits, with a 3d-printed base and a custom head from Etsy.

Just 5 more to finish for a full killteam!
